Berkshire Community College
Berkshire Community College is located in Pittsfield, Massachusetts. BCC was established back in 1960, and it now serves over 3,000 students. The school motto of “start here, go anywhere” rings very true with the variety of transfer opportunities that are available to students. Students will be able to earn associate degrees, certificates, and diplomas in various fields at BCC. The associate degrees will have various transfer options to larger four-year universities, allowing students to continue their education in the pursuit of a higher degree. BCC has been accredited by the New England Association of Schools and Colleges. The school is also well-known for having many club sports and other extracurricular activities for students to take part in.
The BCC nursing program is thought of very highly and has been helping students in the area to pursue their dreams for years. BCC has a practical nursing program for those who wish to become LPNs, as well as an associate degree in nursing program. There is also a bachelor degree program that is made available through a partnership with the University of Massachusetts. There are many different opportunities for prospective nurses at this school, and current nurses will also be able to further their educations here. The programs are approved by the Massachusetts Board of Registration in Nursing and are accredited by the Accreditation Commission for Education in Nursing (ACEN).
