Lane Community College
Lane Community College is located in Eugene, Oregon. This public community college was established in 1964. It now serves more than 25,000 students, making it among the largest community colleges in the state of Oregon. Students can earn several associate’s degrees in various focuses of study. It is also possible to earn technical certificates in several different fields. Lane Community College is also known as a popular transfer school. There are many transfer opportunities to four-year universities, making this a very practical option for anyone who wishes to continue on to get a bachelor’s degree after graduation.
The Lane Community College nursing program allows students to earn certificates in practical nursing or associate’s degrees in nursing. There is also an LPN-to-RN track program for current LPNs who wish to pursue advanced placement. Graduates of this program have traditionally had great success on the NCLEX-PN and NCLEX-RN licensure exams and this is known as one of the best nursing programs in Oregon. The nursing programs at Lane Community College have been approved by the Oregon State Board of Nursing.
