The Salem International University School of Nursing is a designed on the basis of the career advancement pathway. The Salem practical nursing program meets the requirements the West Virginia State Board of Examiners for Licensed Practical Nurses.
The School of Nursing at Salem University offers an online Registered Nurse to BSN bridge degree completion program for licensed Registered nurses in good standing desiring to further their professional career by earning their BSN. The courses are offered online to ensure the maximum amount of flexibility to fit with the demands of a professional career.
The nursing program comprises of 66 semester credits and requires students to achieve a cumulative GPA of a minimum of 2.5 or higher to graduate. Students are also required earn a ‘C’ grade or above to maintain a 2.5 average for all nursing courses and meet the minimum score designated on the comprehensive final exam.
Graduates from the nursing program are eligible to apply to sit for the National Council Licensure Examination to be licensed as a Registered Nurse.
