Central Community College
Central Community College is located in Grand Island, Nebraska. This two-year public college originally opened back in 1966. Since this time, the college has continued to grow to meet the evolving needs of the community. The college has three campuses in the area and all of them are designed to provide students with a safe learning environment. The school offers more than 30 career and technical programs that can lead students toward exciting careers. There are also several associate degree options and some courses will allow students to earn diplomas.
The Central Community College nursing program is designed to help students become either an LPN or an RN. At this time, students will be able to take the NCLEX-PN licensure exam or they can choose to continue on to pursue the associate degree. There is also a program for existing LPNs who want to pursue becoming an RN. The curriculum of the nursing programs involves classroom experiences, as well as state of the art simulation methods. This nursing program is fully approved by the Nebraska State Board of Nursing and it is accredited by the Accreditation Commission for Education in Nursing (ACEN).
